Who We Are
Sexual Assault Services (SAS) provides specialized support services for victims of sexual violence. SAS services are trauma informed services that assist the victims, family, and others through their healing process after a sexual assault. Sexual Assault Services purpose is to provide free, confidential sexual assault support services for those who have experienced sexual assault and to provide educational trainings for professionals and the communities in Crow Wing County.
What We Do
Sexual Assault Services (SAS) mission is to bring hope, healing, and empowerment to those affected by sexual abuse and exploitation.
SAS provides 24-hour crisis intervention, legal, criminal, civil and rape exam advocacy, individual counseling for survivors and their loved ones, supports groups, and we provide emergency needs such as gas cards, cell phones, clothing, weighted blankets and personal hygiene items. Our legal advocacy includes assistance with filing Orders for Protection, Harassment Restraining Orders, and applications for Crime Victims Reparations for monetary recovery of expenses caused by the rape crime. By providing this support to victims SAS works to lessen the trauma that is caused by sexual violence. We work to promote healing and empower victims to regain a sense of control over their lives.
